Australian dollar, bonds weaker at noon

SYDNEY, Jan 15 AAP - The Australian dollar was weaker at midday and found little support
from the December employment data, which was broadly in line with market expectations.

At 1200 AEDT the Australian dollar was trading at $US0.7744/49 compared with yesterday's
close of 0.7770/75.

The Australian dollar traded between $US0.7731 and 0.7754 in the morning session, drawing
little inspiration from a report showing growth of 29,600 in employment last month.

The unemployment rate remained at 5.6 per cent, the Australian Bureau of Statistics
