Troy The city abruptly closed some businesses for code violations Friday as part of a new civil enforcement crackdown that has shuttered about two dozen buildings since it began last summer.
Community police officers, fire and building code inspectors, public works employees and officials from the city Corporation Counsel's office Friday afternoon posted notices and closed three businesses in the Fulton Street area.
Police said Saturday that they had received steady complaints of loitering and quality of life concerns in the area, which caused the city to focus on the businesses.
