East battled West this week in the race for No.1, while a pair of weekend upset specials by RPI caused disruption in The Times Union College Hockey Top 10.
The University of Maine was on top for the second straight week after landslide support from its region, while a push for Minnesota from the wild, wild West fell short. Maine, in the second-closest race for No.1 all season, took 14 first-place votes to Minnesota's 11, edging the Golden Gophers by just 12 points overall.
